An energy meter box protects the meter, cut-outs and incoming cable connections from weather, dust and tampering. Sintex makes meter boxes in SMC, a strong glass-reinforced plastic. The Sintex brochure lists these features: single-piece moulded without any joints; concealed metal hinges; mounting screws fitted from inside; metal hardware for a wire seal; adequate space for meter and cut-outs; a wide range for different applications; light weight yet strong; weatherproof; shockproof; free from pilferage; and maintenance-free. Mounting screws from inside and a wire seal make the box hard to open without leaving a sign. Builders, housing societies and contractors use these boxes for residential and commercial meter points. Tell us the meter type and number of meters, and we will suggest a box. Monika Electro Tech, a Monika group firm, is an Authorised Stockist of Sintex in Ahmedabad.
